The rivalry between Chelsea and Manchester United is one of the most intense in English football. The two clubs have met 192 times in all competitions, with Manchester United holding a slight edge in the head-to-head record with 86 wins to Chelsea's 75. There have also been 31 draws between the two sides. In recent years, Manchester United have had the better of the rivalry, winning four of the last five meetings. However, Chelsea will be looking to turn the tide when the two teams meet at Stamford Bridge on 4 April 2024.

The first meeting between Chelsea and Manchester United was in 1895, in the FA Cup. Manchester United won the match 2-0. The two clubs have met regularly since then, with some memorable matches taking place over the years.

One of the most famous matches between the two clubs was the 1999 FA Cup semi-final. Manchester United won the match 2-1, with Ryan Giggs scoring a stunning solo goal in extra time. The match is still remembered as one of the greatest FA Cup semi-finals of all time.
